Hello world!

Well, here it is, my first post!

Tonight I would like to review a 2006 Chardonnay from Okanogan Estate and Vineyards. It is pale to medium gold in appearance with a slight butter and green apple aroma. Flavors are of oak, apple, some mineral, and tropical fruit. The acidity is in great balance with other flavors and is neither too fruit forward or oaky as some chards tend to be these days. It’s still quite lively considering I opened the bottle last night. Its still just as good or even slightly  better tonight. A great value for under $20.

This chard makes for great summer sipping on the patio or would go great with seafood or chicken and can stand up to heavier treatments such as creamy sauces or stronger spices.

Okanogan Estate and Vineyards is located in Oroville Washington, just south of the Canadian border. They also have a tasting room in Leavenworth.
