Challenger Ridge Cellars

Had the chance to try their 2008 Pinot Gris and 2006 Gordon Bordeaux Blend.

The Pinot Gris, a blend of 86% Pinot Gris, 7% Viognier and 7% Sauvignon Blanc  was light and pleasant with nice citrus notes. $18.

The “Gordon Bordeaux” is a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec, 2% Petite Verdot and 1% Merlot. A balanced symphony of flavors with cassis, oak, and dark fruits. $25. This has to be one of my favorite “Bordeaux” blends that I have had in a while!
